It encompasses various dimensions, including the presence or absence of parents, spouses, children, and other relatives. Family structure is not static; it can evolve as families grow and adapt through childbirth, adoption, or other means. Family Type: This includes nuclear families (parents and children), single-parent families, stepfamilies, and extended families.Variations in Family Structure: Nuclear Family: The traditional family structure consisting of a married couple and their children. Single-Parent Family: A family where one parent (usually the mother) lives with their child or children. Stepfamily: A family formed when a married couple has children from previous relationships. Extended Family: A family that includes relatives beyond the nuclear family, such as grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Same-Sex Family: A family where two people of the same gender are parents, either through adoption, surrogacy, or biological means.
