This course aims to provide healthcare professionals, particularly those working in long-term care settings, with a comprehensive understanding of ethical principles, cultural competency, and advocacy for residents.
Participants will explore the intersection of ethics and cultural diversity in care practices, learn effective advocacy strategies, and develop skills to enhance the quality of life for residents from diverse backgrounds.
The course emphasizes the importance of respecting individual dignity and promoting equitable care.

● Learn the fundamental ethical principles that guide practice in long-term care, including autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice, while highlighting ethical caregiving practices tied to Canadian regulations and Accreditation Canada standards.
