About Course

  • This course provides students with a working knowledge of mental health issues and addictions by introducing students to classifications of mental disorders, addiction development and dependence, effects, signs and symptoms and response, diagnostic categories, treatment options and best practice interventions, and common medications used in pharmacotherapies.
  • Students will explore trends in mental health and addictions support, service, delivery, and practice.
