About Course

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of trauma and its profound impact on individuals and communities, with a focus on developing practical skills to deliver compassionate, trauma-informed care.
Topics include the neurobiology of trauma, recognizing trauma responses, culturally sensitive practices, and fostering resilience.
Students will learn to apply trauma-informed principles such as safety, trustworthiness, and empowerment in diverse social service settings.
Emphasizing real-world applications, the course prepares students for roles in social work, healthcare, education, and crisis intervention, equipping them to support healing and recovery in a manner that minimizes re-traumatization.

After completion of the course, students are expected to be able to:
