About Course

This course is designed to introduce students to behavior analysis techniques including assessment/analysis/intervention. Students will learn to recognize at-risk behaviors in a range of populations including youth, women, and ethnic minorities.

Operationally define behavior and its functions.
Describe strategies for increasing and decreasing behavior.
Define, describe, and apply the basic principles of behavior analysis.
Describe the relationship between applied behavior analysis and evidence-based treatment.
Discuss the key concepts, vocabulary, techniques and outcomes of the use of the basic principles behaviour analysis with at risk populations.
Describe simple strategies for how behavior analysis can be implemented successfully in the treatment of addiction.
