About Course

This course is designed to introduce students to behavior analysis techniques including assessment/analysis/intervention. Students will learn to recognize at-risk behaviors in a range of populations including youth, women, and ethnic minorities.

What Will You Learn?

  • Operationally define behavior and its functions.
  • Describe strategies for increasing and decreasing behavior.
  • Define, describe, and apply the basic principles of behavior analysis.
  • Describe the relationship between applied behavior analysis and evidence-based treatment.
  • Discuss the key concepts, vocabulary, techniques and outcomes of the use of the basic principles behaviour analysis with at risk populations.
  • Describe simple strategies for how behavior analysis can be implemented successfully in the treatment of addiction.
